MANILA, Philippines -- R.A. Gapuz Review Center (RAGRC) is using the Internet as a medium in targeting Filipino nurses here and abroad who want to make it to the US.
RAGRC announced a partnership with Internet café operator Netopia in offering Web-based review courses meant for nursing graduates taking the NCLEX exams.
To avail of the service, the user buys a prepaid card good for 24 hours of courses divided into different levels. The card can be used at Netopia branches wherein users can get access to the review courses at www.testmastersonline.com.
The prepaid card costs P2, 000 and can be consumed within seven days.
RAGRC operates more than 25 branches located in Luzon and produces 10,000 successful examinees every year for local and foreign nursing exams, according to company officials.
The online review courses will initially be made available in six Netopia branches and expanded in other branches especially in the provinces, said Ray Gapuz, RAGRC's founding chairman.
There are also plans to offer these Web-based review courses in other countries that have a good number of Filipino nurses.
"Places like Dubai and the United Kingdom, for example. A lot of our nurses there want to transfer to the US but still need to take the NCLEX exams," Gapuz said.
