New Zealand is the home of Queen Elizabeth II. Most attractive destinations for migrants. It ranks highly when compared internationally- less corruption, economic freedom,most liveable. Christianity is also the predominant religion.

Over supply of Nurses in the Philippines led some to consider New Zealand as prime destination. So, why work in New Zealand as a Nurse? First, it can be a pathway for you to work in big countries like the U.S. since it is one country believe to have high standards of education. There is the benefit of permanent residency.

And as a Permanent resident, your children can benefit in free education up to secondary level. Educational loan is also available for your college students. They also offer unemployment and emergency benefits for non working spouse.

Working in New Zealand as a Nurse is something to consider because it is one country that has high standard of living, but better quality putting the country ahead of canada in 2008 poll.

Cost of living though in New Zealand is quite high. People would usually buy cheaper drinks, stay at home because nightouts is terribly expensive. Most people stick to their grocery lists when buying things, compare prices-chose the cheapest. But there are also nurses who were able to buy their own houses with their salaries only.

So, to those Registered Nurses who plan to work in New Zealand as a nurse you need to take competency course for 3 months and at least one year staff nurse experience here in the Philippines
