um.. thanks for the links regarding NCLEX. I just wanna ask if theres a possibility for me to have the fingerprint card i requested last month in Texas already??? coz my friend also requested a fingerprint card at that state for almost 2 months but she's still waiting for that to be mailed. We would like to process our application as soon as we can. Is there any ways we can do for us to make it a little bit faster??

to reica022002@yahoo.com you don't have to provide a SSS number... just leave it blank or wrote not applicable since SSS number are meant for those US cititzen who are working... ciao! hope it helps!

I have an existing SSS number which I got in Texas years back, but I would like to take the NCLEX exam for California. My SSS number is not valid for employment as I got it to open a bank account only. Will I be required to write it?
Thanks!

In taking the NCLEX, the rules provide that an applicant is not required to have an SSS number. The SSS number is only needed when the license will already be given.

However, my case is that I have an existing SSS number which I got in Texas years back. Only it is not valid for employment because I am not a US citizen nor did I work there. If I don't disclose it now in my application, won't it bring me complications later?

CABON Now Requires SSN to apply for NCLEX.

Effective on April 26, 2010 California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) will no longer accept applications that do not contain a U.S. Social Security Number. The Nursing Practice Act provides for a unified examination and licensing application. Once an applicant passes the examination, a license is automatically issued. Under these circumstances the BRN cannot accept applications for the examination and licensure without a U.S. social security number.

For those applicants who have failed the exam and want to re-apply; CABON will not accept re-application without U.S Social Security Number.

If your application was sent prior to April 26, 2010 or if you are already eligible, THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU.
